Throughout history, nationalism has evolved in a massive way. Nationalism is a concept that was not always around, and began as a simple love of one’s country. This soon progressed into the belief that a country or state is superior to another. In order to create patriotism in a country, often times the government will look past previous wrongdoings. A crime should always be duly punished no matter the amount of time separating the past and present. On the contrary, some people may say that necessary means should be taken to keep a country united.
